A note on suicide.
Sure, it’s tragic. I’ve known many people who have taken their own lives and many more that have thought about it. And it’s sad, and every time I hear a story like the ones that have been brought up recently, I feel for the victim and their family.
That being said, suicide is not the right thing to do. It isn’t honorable or brave to kill yourself. In fact, it’s the opposite. I know that these kids were young, and maybe they didn’t know better, but regardless of the situation, all human beings need to know that there is a way out. Things will get better, life will change. I know that not everyone DOES know that, obviously, but that’s the truly tragic part. Of course it’s sad to lose people out of this world so young, but it’s worse when they go out of ignorance.
